TRANSPORT Public transport Trains and buses link people to jobs and education, as well as healthcare and social activities. Easy access to reliable and efficient public transport is critical to creating a healthy, cohesive and inclusive community. In Logan, we have challenges with public transport on two fronts: city-bound commuters find themselves on buses caught in congestion on the M1 because the South East Busway doesn’t start until Eight Mile Plains (outside of Logan) fast-growing communities in our city’s south-west have no clear idea when the planned passenger rail line from Salisbury to Beaudesert will be delivered. Council continues to advocate on behalf of residents for solutions to both these challenges.
