Waterford-Tamborine Road In 2018, Waterford-Tamborine Rd (a state-controlled road) made RACQ’s Unroadworthy Roads Survey and was also listed as a ‘high risk’ road in its Risky Roads Project. Congestion is already a major issue along Waterford-Tamborine Road, with 14,000 vehicles using this single lane road every day through Tamborine, Jimboomba, Yarrabilba, Logan Village, Buccan and Waterford. With up to 50,000 people expected to live in the state developed area of Yarrabilba in the coming years, this situation will continue to become worse without determined action now. Roads in and around Logan Village become gridlocked during peak hour and at school drop off and pick up. Traffic can often be at a standstill for more than a kilometre north and south of the town centre.
