Major Roads

We all know how important it is to have a safe and efficient road network, particularly when it comes to the major roads that connect our city to the wider region. In recent years, key major roads in Logan have become congested, creating frustration and loss of productivity, and impacting our way of life. In the case of Mount Lindesay Highway, increased traffic volume has also created serious safety issues.

Since 2017, there have been funding announcements for the M1 (Pacific Motorway) and commitments made for upgrades to sections of the Mount Lindesay Highway and Waterford-Tamborine Road.

While we welcome all investment in our road infrastructure from other levels of government, there are still critical needs in the growing parts of our city, such as the Priority Development Areas (PDAs) of Yarrabilba and Greater Flagstone, which will ultimately accommodate up to 170,000 people.
